How can I schedule a control?

Save time by automating your recurring controls or trigger adhoc controls based on identified events.

1.  Go to “Control Management” image-png-Jun-23-2022-09-05-39-29-AM  in the left menu.

2. Click on “Create new control” in the upper right corner, as illustrated below.


3. Go to the “Schedule” section in the control designer (Figure 1).

4. You can now set the schedule of the control. 

How can I change the schedule of existing controls?
1. In the Control Management module Skærmbillede 2023-08-22 113642-png-2, open the respective program.

2. Click on the title of the control you wish to change the schedule of.

3. You can set your control to be executed one time or to follow a recurring schedule.

4. Set recurrence to one of the following options using the dropdown menu below “Recurring” as illustrated below.

Which recurrence options can I set?

  • Weekly: The control will be run at the specified weekdays. You can choose more than one day if you want your control to run several times a week. Furthermore you can make the recurrence every 1 to 6 weeks.
  • Monthly: The control will run every month. You specify on what day the control should be due, here you can either set a specific day of the month or choose a business day e.g first business day of the month.
  • 2 months: The control will run every 2nd month. You specify on what day the control should be due, here you can either set a specific day.
  • Quarterly: The control will run once every quarter of the year. You specify on what day the control should be due, here you can either set a specific day of the month.
  • Every half year: The control will run once every half year. You specify on what day the control should be due, here you can either set a specific day.
  • Yearly: The control will run one time per year. You specify on what day the control should be due, here you can either set a specific day.

Tip: Set up automatic reminders under Advanced settings. You can choose 1 of the 3 options.

How can I schedule an adhoc, one-time control?
1. Click on “Manual” under “Scheduling”, as illustrated below. 

2. Set due date for your control by clicking on the calendar in the “Due date” section. You can see the next due date under “Next due date” and see the next covered period.

3. Set a notification date. Notification lets you specify how many days or weeks before the due date the control should be sent (from 1 day to 8 weeks before due date).

Note! With the manual scheduling, the control will run one time only on the due date chosen.
