What is a workload report and how to create one

This article tells you what a workload report is as well as giving you a step-by-step guide of how to create one.

What is a workload report

This type of report gives you an easy overview of the current as well as the future workload related to controls. It can be beneficial if you want to see how many of the selected controls are already sent out and completed, and how many controls will be sent out later. You can therefore plan better.

How to create a workload report

  1. Go to the Report module
  2. Click on "Create new" in the top, right corner and select "Workload report"
  3. Select the time frame that the report should cover in the top, right corner. You can either select "Due date", and the report will include all controls with a due date from the selected time frame. Or you can select "Period", and the report will include all controls with the selected periods.
  4. Set the desired filters to for instance only include certain programs, controls or entities, depending on what you want to view the workload for.
  5. You can also further adjust the view of the report by changing the table settings or the graph settings. Each of the settings can be changed by clicking the respective cogwheels.
  6. Once your report is adjusted according to your wishes, click "Save as" in the top, right corner. Here you can give the report a name and a description, and you can select if the current time filter should always be used, or if it should be a dynamic time filter instead.

  7. Afterwards, you will be able to find the report on the list of saved reports.
