      How to move a control from one control program to another

      Sometimes it can be needed to move a control from one control program to another control program e.g. in connection with restructuring, or if access rights are changing. Instead of having to create the control from scratch again, it is possible to simply move the control to the desired control program. This way the history and previous activities will also be moved to the new control program. 

      Move a control to a new control program

      1. Open the control you want to move
      2. In the field "Control program", select the new control program which you want to move the control to
      3. Click "Update control" to perform the changes

      You will now be able to find the control as well as all current and previous activities under the new program instead of the old program. 

      Move multiple controls to a new control program

      If you have many controls that you would like to move to another control program, you can also do this in bulk. 

      1. Go to the Control management 
      2. Go to Controls and select the controls for which you want to change the control program
      3. Click on "Change details"
      4. In the field "Control program", you can search for and select the new control program to which you want to move the controls
      5. Click on "Apply to all" to finish. All the selected controls will now be moved to the new control program.
