Quickly structure your controls with AI-suggested task blocks based on proven control patterns.

Video guide

What is Impero Assist for tasks?

Impero Assist helps you structure your controls by suggesting relevant tasks based on common control patterns. It is available directly in the control editor and can:

  • Suggest predefined task blocks — groups of tasks commonly used together
  • Suggest individual tasks where appropriate
  • Help you quickly set up a control using proven structures

All suggestions are proposals — nothing is applied to your control automatically.

When can I use it?

You can use Impero Assist for tasks when:

  • Creating a new control
  • Editing an existing control

Note: The feature requires the control to belong to a control program and contain sufficient information (title and description).

How does it work?

Click Suggest tasks to open Impero Assist. The system will then:

  1. Analyze your control title and description.
  2. Identify a likely control type.
  3. Suggest relevant task structures based on that type.

You will then see:

  • Suggested task blocks — multiple tasks grouped together
  • Suggested individual tasks — where applicable

From there, you can:

  • Add a full task block, which adds all included tasks at once
  • Ignore suggestions entirely and continue manually

Note: Once added, tasks behave like any manually created task and can be edited or removed at any time.

What information does Impero Assist use?

Impero Assist suggests tasks based on the following information from your control:

  • The control title
  • The control description
  • The control program

The AI matches your control to predefined templates created and validated by Impero — tasks are not generated from scratch.

How do I get the best suggestions?

To get the most relevant task suggestions:

  • Use clear and specific control titles.
  • Provide a meaningful description of the control purpose.
  • Review suggestions carefully before applying them.
  • Combine AI suggestions with your own expertise and knowledge of your organisation.

What do I do if no suggestions appear?

If the system cannot return suggestions, it is usually because:

  • There is not enough information in the control title or description
  • No matching template could be found for your control type

You can:

  • Improve the control title or description to add more detail
  • Try again after making changes

Important considerations

  • Suggestions are based on predefined templates, not generated from scratch.
  • They do not constitute compliance advice.
  • You are responsible for reviewing and validating the final control setup.
  • Impero Assist does not detect duplicates or merge with existing tasks.

Frequently asked questions

Does this replace control design or compliance review?

No. The feature is a support tool to help structure controls. You remain responsible for the final setup.

Are the tasks generated by AI?

No. Tasks are selected from predefined templates based on your control title and description.

Why don't I see any suggestions?

This can happen if the control lacks sufficient detail or if the system cannot match it to a known pattern. Try improving the title and description, then try again.

Is my data used to train external models?

No. Your data is not used to train external AI models.
